Presence of Culture: Chinese Origin

Cont...

Hi again guys.. Since I have been writing about the two BIGGEST races in Malaysia, I will be continuing writing on Chinese people and its origin..

chinese people form a group of rebellion soldier to act on Japan's war

Chinese people has been resided in Malaysia since the reign of Malacca where Puteri Hang Li Po were married to Sultan Mansur Shah in the year of 1456-1477. That is when Chinese people were doing trading business with Malacca. So this is how the story goes on..

History
The Chinese in Malaysia is the second largest community in the country. Malaysia and China have political ties and trade since centuries ago. In the Malacca Sultanate, China has served as a protector of Malacca from the threat of Siam. Transfer of Chinese people to Malaysia is because of pressure on the Manchu Dynasty (1644 - 1911) because of the Manchu sovereigns and create dissatisfaction among the people. The arrival of the Chinese in Malaysia is visible on the mid 19th century. Fukien identified were the Manchu government and the rebel closest to Southeast Asia.

A better life in the Land of Malay is also a factor that encouraged the Chinese to migrate to Malaysia. Most Chinese came as laborers and artisans craft. They came alone without the family as they are expected to pay a high conductivity in order to return to China or bring experts to come to the Land of the Malay family. The arrival of the Chinese to Malay Land also indirectly brought in the culture religion and language.
Religion held by the Chinese is Buddhism. However, Taoisma and Konfuciunisme doctrine is also important to the people of China.

The main theme in the teachings of Konfuciunisme is "preservation of the state and the preservation of the family" or the word is "Hao". It is clearly seen than some of the celebrations that are eternal so today namely Ching Meng. As they are very concerned with the Konfuciunisme Hao, it is important to get children to become family heirlooms. Marriage is encouraged so that they can have a legal child.
Taosima is refer to "Tao" which means "way" or "Principle" namely road to the form. Instead of "Tao" form the two principles of "Yin" and "Yang".

In the teachings of Taoism, however, it is believed that free man may be a god after death as he dies followed the true path of life before death.

Buddhism also brought by Gautama Buddha of India. The principle of Buddhism is the world's misery in life caused by ignorance in the wrong thoughts and wrong actions. To circumvent, however, humans must eliminate desire and make a glorious order to achieve what the Buddha as Nirvana. Humans must extinguish desire and the extinction victorious if only to make so it will be free from ignorance and attain happiness. Buddhism also touched the "cycle of life" namely humans will continue to death and birth before.

As chinese people evolved, they also practice a mix marriage.

As they are really hold their belief and customs, makes Chinese people has the most unique way of traditions. This shows that Chinese people is strongly preserve their culture and traditions. Till now, they are still hold onto their belief and traditions.

Presence of culture: Indians Origins

Cont...

Hi Guys.. In my previous entry, I post about Malay origin, so now I'm going to tell you about Indian people in Tanah Melayu just before we gain our independence.

Malaysian Indians are a people in Malaysia which descended from those who migrated from South India during the British rule in Malaya.

Sikh people

HISTORY

The Indians had migrated to Malaysia since 2,000 years ago. Community groups such as Chitty Melaka and Mamak community are descendants of migrants during the Malacca Sultanate and later during the occupation of Malacca by Portugal and the Netherlands. Proceeds Straits - Penang, Malacca and Singapore - by the British between 1786 to 1824 to start a recharge unfailing consisting of labor, traders, Supai, and prisoners involved in the construction, agricultural trade, defense, and trade. However, migration of Indians in large numbers from the Indian subcontinent to Malaya is when the expansion of British rule into the Malay states in the West since the 1870's decade, and the growth of rubber plantations later. Indian population in Malaya and Singapore before independence consisted mainly of adult men that leave their families in India and Sri Lanka. Thus, with the advent and their return, the number of Indian population fluctuates frequently. In 1901, the Indian population in the Straits Settlements and Federated Malay States was approximately 120,000. By 1931, this number had risen to 640,000 in Malaya and Singapore, and in the state, their number exceeds the Malays in the year. Population of India virtually unchanged until 1947 because they went to Burma during the Japanese occupation as recruits for the Indian National Army, and coolies for Death Track. In 2005, the people of India is about 7% of the population in Malaysia (around 1.8 million).

Tamil migration

Some very large Indian migrants consists of speakers of Tamil from Tamil Nadu state. In 1947, they were 77% of the total Indian population in Malaya and Singapore. South Indian people, especially the Malayalee and Telugu, a further 14% in 1947, and the remaining Indian communities made up of people of North India, especially Punjabi, Bengali, Gurjarati, and Sindhi.

Other ethnic groups

Apart from India group mentioned above, there are also three ethnic and religious groups that have a political and economic interests far beyond the numbers. Two of the business community, is:

Tamil Chettiar caste trader that is from Tamil Nadu, and
South Indian Muslims, the people of Kerala and the Moplah Marakkayar from Tamil Nadu, a majority of the wholesalers.
The third group is the Tamils of Sri Lanka that mostly working in the public service and professional fields.

Indian people have been resided in Tanah Melayu before the British even rule our country. This shows the culture have been mix and meet since then and Malay people was the first to resided in Malaysia before other races started to migrate in Tanah Melayu.

During a migration, the two married the communities of the southern islands like Java, as well as local residents who were descendants of Australasia and Negritos. However, there are still some parties do not agree to this theory.

Among other evidence that supports this theory includes:

* Tools, stone tools found in the Malay Archipelago with tools from Central Asia.
* Equation Malay customs and Assam.
* Malay and Cambodia is homogeneous as the original place of those derived from sources Cambodia Mekong River.
